Pure nature, rainforests, white sandy beaches, crystal clear lagoons with impressing reefs - that's Tonga.
The last kingdom of the South Pacific stands out with a unique flora and fauna. Explore the impressing under water world while snorkelling. Observe more than a few hundred species of fishes and not only a few different corals.

Tonga is as well a great place to see whales and dolphins. In the winter month (July to October) the Humpback Whale migrates to Tonga to breed and give birth.

Visiting Tonga means not to expect the usual pleasure of tourism. But this is not a disadvantage. The culture of Toga is real. In the shops, at the markets and at the entertainment venues. Wherever you're going.
you see and feel what the Tongans see and feel. Nothing is purposely put on for the tourists. It is just the way it is. Try an ̉tai, a typical drink with coconut milk and pulped tropical fruit.
Nuku'alofa, the capital, is located on the main island of Tongatapu. It is more developed than its neighbours but still maintains an unhurried and peaceful lifestyle. Tongans are staunched Christians. That's why almost everything - except a few restaurants and bakeries - is closed on Sundays.
Climate: The name Tonga means south. Further away from the equator than Samoa or Fiji, Tonga has a more comfortable tropical climate. It receives less rain than other tropical areas, and maximum temperatures average 80 F / 27 C with only moderate humidity.
